Work readiness training

Our Work Readiness Training includes culturally competent employability training where students can generate their own career portfolio, get assistance with their job search, & practice their interviewing skills, in preparation for employment. COMPACT is now offering work readiness training & paid internships to Justice-involved Young Adults.

Want to know if you qualify?

Requirements:

  • System Impacted Youth

  • Living in North County

  • 16-24 years old

  • Willing to complete a Work Readiness Certificate course

  • Must have permit to work in the U.S.

  • Must agree to work with Job Developer for Career Plan and Supervision

What does this course Include?

COMPACT offers:

  • Work Readiness Classes to create Portfolio (Resume, Cover Letter, Job Search, Interview Practice, Communication/Conflict resolution, higher education exploration, etc.)

  • Paid Trainings

  • Paid Internships

  • Assistance with college or vocational school enrollments

  • Mentorship
