
Faith Meetings
The Escondido Police Department has long respected COMPACT’s community work. Since September 19th, 2017 the Escondido Police has partnered with COMPACT to conduct monthly Faith Meetings. These Faith Meetings are a meaningful gathering of faith leaders, community members, and local authorities. Local faith leaders meet with Chief of the Escondido Police Department monthly to address current concerns, foster dialogue, and strengthen our bonds as a community rooted in faith, compassion, and mutual support.

Community Response Team - If you are interested in joining Our Community Response Team. You will be called and trained as a volunteer who will go out into the community and respond to Victims of Crime and their families in times of need.

1/28/2025 - Local faith leaders turn to Escondido Police for clarity during federal immigration operations.
North County pastors said their congregations are becoming nervous and fearful about immigration enforcement. For that reason they turned to police for guidance on how to respond to members of their congregation sharing their concerns.The faith leaders meet with captains of the Escondido police department monthly. This months meeting aim was too ease fears, Escondido Police Partnered with COMPACT to meet with church members to answer questions and disprove misinformation. Community leaders hope these efforts will encourage migrants to access vital services without fear.
July, 2018 - Escondido Police Team Up With Religious Groups to Stop DUIs
Chief of Police Craig Carter began discussions in September 2017 with faith-based leaders to reach more residents and convince them not to get behind the wheel while under the influence. The partnership involved more than 24 congregations and faith centers within the city. The goal was to curb the instances of a crime that's 100 percent avoidable, driving while under the influence.
